Short-Term Advisor - Western Cape


A prominent financial services provider is looking for an experienced SHORT-TERM INSURANCE ADVISOR, to join their dynamic team in the WESTERN CAPE.

This is a permanent position that includes a lucrative commission structure.

The purpose of this position is to manage and develop business through existing and new opportunities across the short-term insurance spectrum.



Qualification & Experience

 
  • Minimum matric with a tertiary qualification advantageous.

  • Minimum 5 years’ general working experience in the short-term insurance industry.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in short term insurance advisory and sales services with both short term and commercial lines insurance products and clientele.

  • A NQF level 5 qualification together with a RE5 and / or RE1 certificate is a pre-requisite to all applications.

  • Relevant and applicable classes of business (COB) to short term insurance products.

  • Fit and Proper in terms of the legislative requirements as prescribed by the FSCA.

  • In depth knowledge of and proven experience in the marketing (sales) of short-term insurance products across the board

  • Highly entrepreneurial with a proven track record of successful business development in a similar role in the Western Cape.

  • A strong business network and client referral base highly advantageous.

  • Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in English and Afrikaans: speak read and write.

  • Trustworthy and ethical with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Professional and well-presented.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Own reliable transport.
