Underwriting Administrator - Short Term Insurance

An exciting career opportunity is available for an Underwriting Administrator, to join our dynamic business team on-site at our client based in Pretoria East. This is a permanent position which offers a market-related salary structure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum matric with a tertiary qualification advantageous.

  • Minimum 4 years’ general working experience in the short-term insurance industry.

  • A completed short-term insurance qualification – NQF 4 and RE5 is a key requirement.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in short term insurance underwriting of specifically personal lines.

  • Strong and proven experience in servicing and maintenance of personal insurance portfolios.

  • Proven experience and knowledge of effecting endorsements on relevant systems (Santam Policy Centre Personal Lines and/or Commercial).

  • Proven knowledge and experience of short-term insurance principles, personal insurance and related variants, and required procedures.

  • Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Tenacious and driven, with the ability to multi-task.

  • Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in English and Afrikaans: speak read and write.

  • Computer literate.

  • Sound knowledge of policy wording such as Multimark III.

  • Compliant with well-developed change-management abilities.

  • Trustworthy and ethical with a strong sense of accountability.

  • Professional and well-presented.

  • Valid driver’s licence.

  • Own reliable transport.
