Underwriting Administrator - Short Term Insurance
An exciting career opportunity is available for an Underwriting Administrator, to join our dynamic business team on-site at our client based in Pretoria East. This is a permanent position which offers a market-related salary structure.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum matric with a tertiary qualification advantageous.
Minimum 4 years’ general working experience in the short-term insurance industry.
A completed short-term insurance qualification – NQF 4 and RE5 is a key requirement.
Minimum 2 years experience in short term insurance underwriting of specifically personal lines.
Strong and proven experience in servicing and maintenance of personal insurance portfolios.
Proven experience and knowledge of effecting endorsements on relevant systems (Santam Policy Centre Personal Lines and/or Commercial).
Proven knowledge and experience of short-term insurance principles, personal insurance and related variants, and required procedures.
Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Tenacious and driven, with the ability to multi-task.
Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in English and Afrikaans: speak read and write.
Sound knowledge of policy wording such as Multimark III.
Compliant with well-developed change-management abilities.
Trustworthy and ethical with a strong sense of accountability.
Professional and well-presented.
Valid driver’s licence.
Own reliable transport.
